SIMON DAVIS BARRY - SCREENPLAY SIMON DAVIS BARRY began his career in motion pictures as an Assistant Cameraman, working on over a dozen feature films shot in the Vancouver Area between 1989 and 1994. During these years he worked with directors Peter Hyams, Fred Schepisi, Ridley Scott and Ed Zwick. After directing two Award-winning short films, Barry moved to Los Angeles to pursue screenwriting. His first script, "Morton Orwell" (aka "Confidence"), was sold to producer Dan Grodnik and is currently in pre-production for Seven Arts Pictures with Antonio Banderas to star. Barry has written for directors Christian Duguay, Ronny Yu, John Landis, Yves Simoneau and Phil Joanou, working for companies such as Warner Bros. Pictures, Phoenix Pictures, Fox Animation Studios, Franchise Pictures, TNT and Alliance Atlantis. He is currently developing several projects, one of which will be his feature directorial debut. "The Art of War" marks Barry's first screen credit for screenplay. |
