Born in Poland, actress LILIANA KOMOROWSKA received her Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Theatrical Arts in Warsaw. She made her theatrical debut in the "The Crucible" and won the Best Actress Award from the Polish Television Academy (equivalent of the Emmy Awards) for her role as Abigail when the play was televised.

Komorowska made her U.S. film debut in 1983 in the feature "War and Love," starring Kira Sedgwick, for Oscar-winning director Moshe Mizrahi. In 1987, she starred in "Astonished," based on the novel Crime and Punishment, followed by a part in the Bruce Beresford comedy "Her Alibi," starring Tom Selleck.

Moving to Los Angeles in 1990, Komorowska got the lead in director Christian Duguay's science fiction/horror film "Scanners III " and went on to appear in two more films for Duguay: "Screamers," starring Peter Weller, and the thriller "The Assignment," with Aidan Quinn, Donald Sutherland and Ben Kingsley. Among her other film credits are "Suspicious Minds," and "Martial Outlaw," the latter marking her first experience with high-impact action.

On television, Komorowska was a regular on the daytime dramas "Another World," "As the World Turns" and "One Life to Live," and guest-starred in the popular fantasy series "Highlander" and "The Hunger." She also had a guest-starring role in the CBS pilot "The Saint." Among her additional television credits are appearances on "The Equalizer"; "Veronica Clare"; "Acapulco H.E.A.T."; the made-for-television movie "Kojak: Ariana"; the Jackie Collins miniseries "Lucky/Chances"; the BBC miniseries "Mother Love," with Diana Rigg, which won the 1990 BAFTA Award for Best Miniseries; and "Joan of Arc," which garnered 13 Emmy nominations in 1989.
